Paul-André Delalande, a very wealthy but lonely and shy businessman (Benoît Poelvoorde), sees Violette Mandini (Virginie Efira) and her two children on television. He's deeply touched by her love for her family and offers her a proposition: to live with them as a family for a while. Violette, desperate to pay off her debts, accepts.
